Two Young KIBERLAB Researchers Presented at OTP's International Anti-Fraud Conference

Gergely Koncz and Levente Szűcs gave a presentation on the detection and prevention of fraud committed using remote desktop tools, addressing representatives of OTP’s subsidiary banks. They presented the results of their research conducted within the OTP–ELTE KIBERLAB framework and demonstrated potential use cases in a live demo.
A significant portion of fraud committed at customers’ expense involves perpetrators deceiving victims into installing an application, which is then used to carry out the fraud.
The research conducted at KIBERLAB, together with the proposed solutions, can help in curbing these types of attacks.
